On October 20, Henan Luoyang City Nationality Unity and Progress Commendation Conference was held in Luoyang and Li Ya, standing member of Henan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Luoyang Municipal Party Committee attended and addressed the conference. The conference honored model collectivity and individual who made outstanding achievement in the nationality unity and progress undertaking in recent years. Wan Jingrong, the first CMOC Secretary in the village was awarded with the honorary title of "Model Individual for Luoyang City Nationality Unity and Progress".

　　Comrade Wan Jingrong is the first secretary sent to Xiaohe Village, Qiuba Town, Luanchuan County, who is approved by Organization Department of Luoyang Municipal Party Committee and selected by CMOC. Since her staying in the village, she born in mind the responsibility on her shoulder, implemented various decision-making deployments of poverty alleviation work deeply, acted proactively to decompose task and establish accurate assisting strategy, and implemented assisting responsibility. She helped with basic living allowance and disabled subsidy for facilities with the disabled, helped with solving production and employment for facilities with insufficient labor and capital, and helped with Yulu Plan student grant for families with students at schools. She has the courage to think and act about how to improve collectivity economy income of Xiaohe Village. She drives among villages (Yankan, Zhangxiao, Beigou, etc.) with rich assisting experience and learns from and discuss with secretaries of these villages. After investigation and demonstration in several aspects, she selected village poverty alleviation projects featuring small risk, stable benefit and sustainable development such as lotus root starch processing, new sweet potato planting, sweet corn planting and water rafting. Under vigorous assistance from the company, she not only increases earnings of people in financial difficulties obviously but also realizes aspiration of local employment. She wins approval of the common people through her actual action and is called by the masses of Xiaohe Village as "Secretary Wan of Xiaohe".

　　The honorary title of "Model Individual for Luoyang City Nationality Unity and Progress" is not only affirmation and motivation of Comrade Wan Jingrong but also affirmation of CMOC taking social responsibility and launching charity welfare undertaking actively. Since current poverty alleviation has entered countdown of determining to fight and win, CMOC will insist on taking Xi Jinping thought on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era as guidance, implement national decision-making deployment carefully, continue promoting various work of poverty alleviation deeply and solidly, and connect consolidating poverty alleviation achievement with vigorous village development effectively to make contribution for marching toward the target of joint prosperity and sparing no effort to compose excellent and brilliant chapter of Luoyang City.

　　Most of 29 model collectivities for nationality unity and progress and 79 model individuals for nationality unity and progress honored this time are units or individuals from grass root and work frontline. They made outstanding contributions in terms of promoting nationality unity and progress, maintaining social stability and minority rights and interests, fighting epidemic, alleviating poverty, performing social welfare and carrying out dual supporting and joint construction.
